Advancing the Green Economy Writing Contest for College and Graduate Students in Rhode Island

The purpose of the Advancing the Green Economy writing contest was to provide forward-thinking college students in Rhode Island with the opportunity to shape a sustainable and green economic future through participation in the Advancing the Green Economy Conference to be held in early 2010 and featuring a renowned key speaker.

Prizes

The winners and runners-up received cash prizes of $1000 and $500 respectively. Additionally, they attended the Advancing the Green Economy Conference to witness public policy formation in action and network with green economy leaders. The winning essays were featured in the Advancing the Green Economy Conference program.
