Alsace Development International promotes the Alsace region of France to North American companies interested in expanding their European business activities. The Agency is a non-profit organization funded by the French regional government. Alsace Development Agency tailors its services to the needs of the individual company and its global strategy. Services include facilitating joint ventures, partnerships and strategic alliances; coordinating technology transfers and research agreements; evaluating sites for locating corporate headquarters, sales offices, manufacturing operations, or distribution facilities; and identifying agents or distributors. Their extensive resource library includes information on demographics, cost of living, wage comparisons and quality of life.

British American Business Council of New England, Inc.

The British American Business Council of New England,, Inc. (BABCNE) is a non-profit international business association with a membership of more than 100 New England-based companies and individuals involved in transatlantic trade. It was launched in September 1986 by HRH the Prince of Wales. The Council is dedicated to helping its member companies build and manage their businesses by providing them with business introductions and referrals, marketing & networking opportunities and business intelligence through a variety of programs, trade services and publications. The programs range from events with distinguished speakers from government, industry and academia, to informational seminars on current business issues and international networking evenings. BABCNE is a founding member of the British American Business Council (BABC) network which consists of 30 business organizations located in the US and UK and with affiliates in Canada and Mexico. Its combined membership includes around 4,000 companies and individuals involved in international trade, and provides invaluable networking opportunities to the members of the various chapters.

French-American Chamber of Commerce, Inc.-New England Chapter FACCNE

The French American Chamber of Commerce in the United States, Inc., is an independent, non-profit, bi-national organization. The organization seeks to contribute, through the efforts of its chapters and their members, to the development and improvement of economic, commercial and financial relations between France and the United States. To achieve this objective, the French American Chamber encourages sales and services between both countries and promotes better international understanding. They provide information on the economy and business environment to French and American enterprises to help promote investments by commercial and industrial enterprises of each country in the other. The French American Chamber works closely and liaisons with the various French and US governmental and economic agencies, diplomatic and consular agents and other associations in France and the US that pursue similar goals. The Chamber is committed to providing the highest level of service to its members and representing the interest of the membership to external organizations, facilitating the interaction among the membership to foster continuing good economic, commercial and financial relationships between France and the United States of America. The National Chamber comprises 19 regional chapters in the US, as well as an office in Paris.

The German-American Business Council of Boston, Inc. (GABC) is a non-profit organization of companies, business people, and other professionals dedicated to encouraging and cultivating German-American business and trade. Through its speaker series, seminars, and special events the GABC provides a forum for the exchange of knowledge and ideas, and for business and professional contacts between its members. The GABC membership is open to all interested professionals. The Global Business Alliance of New England, Inc. (GBANE)

Mission: To facilitate regular interaction between international organizations in New England that promote business, trade relations and understanding with countries world wide. The Alliance is a volunteer network under which the Officers of the participating associations meet regularly for the mutual benefit of their memberships. All associations’ representatives play an active role in the governance and growth of the Alliance.The Alliance is a confederation of over 40 non-profit international Business Associations, Organizations and Government Agencies involved in international trade in the NE area. Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) New York

The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is a Japanese government organization that promotes mutually beneficial investment and trade relations between Japan and other nations. JETRO was established in 1958, and has a worldwide network of 38 offices in Japan and 79 offices overseas. JETRO New York assists U.S. companies, particularly small- and medium-sized enterprises, in developing business links with Japan. Towards this goal, JETRO New York organizes business missions to support economic exchanges between counterpart regions in the U.S. and Japan, and also recruits U.S. companies to participate in Japanese trade shows. In addition to working directly with companies, JETRO New York also cooperates with national, state and local economic development agencies, as well as industrial and trade organizations in order to promote business relations between the U.S. and Japan. JETRO New York’s activities also include participating in civic, academic and business forums, such as seminars, symposia and panel discussions, to advocate and clarify the Japanese perspective on trade and economic issues. This involves inviting speakers from both Japan and the U.S. to discuss issues relevant to trade and investment relations between Japan, the U.S. and other nations. Japan Society of Boston

The Japan Society of Boston is a non-profit, membership organization comprised of over 150 corporations and 1,000 individual members with interests in Japan. The society organizes breakfast forums, seminars and symposia on issues impacting American and Japanese business interests. Language classes are held in Boston and Newton and are arranged on corporate sites. In addition, the society publishes a monthly calendar of Japan-related events, a resource guidebook and a quarterly newsletter. Its offices house a library with resources for both American and Japanese businesses, which is open to the public.
