The international freight forwarder is an agent who assists his exporter client in moving cargo to a foreign destination. Freight forwarders can assist with an order from the start by advising the exporter of the freight costs, port charges, consular fees, cost of any documentation, and insurance costs, as well as their handling fees, which help in the preparation of a quotation.
