Seminars and Summits in Partnership with the John H. Chafee Center for International Trade at Bryant University
Since 1988, RIEDC has been hosting and developing seminars and summits on the latest and most important issues in International trade. These seminars are designed for new to export companies, experienced exporters, and international trade service providers and cover a range of relevant topics including: export finance, compliance, supply chain management, cultural issues, country specific, and international trade logistics.
Every year we host World Trade Day, one of the largest international trade conferences in the Northeast region. More than 500 managers and executives attend to gain insights on global trends, technologies, and best international business practices. We also run an annual preparation course for the NASBITE CGBP (Certified Global Business Professional) test and certification. The CGBP provides a benchmark for competency in global commerce and CGBP designation demonstrates an individual's ability to conduct global business including Global Business Management, Global Marketing, Supply Chain Management, and Trade Finance.
Through the IB Practicum Student Consulting Project, Bryant University students, under the guidance of International Business Professors and John H. Chaffee Center staff, operate as consultants and identify, analyze and design market entry, development, and competitive strategies for new global markets. At the end of a three month period, they present a comprehensive International Business or marketing plan for the participating company.
