Denise Javery
Director of Human Resources
In 2006 Denise Javery joined the EDC as the Director of Human Resources. For the past two decades she has been in Human Resources Management roles for several industries that have included both public and privately held large companies. Her Human Resources workforce experience has been in manufacturing of precious metal jewelry findings, manufacturing of high tech equipment, electrical transmission, distribution and generation of electrical power and the healthcare insurance industry.
She achieved a Master's in Business Management Degree from Bryant University and completed her undergraduate degree at Rhode Island College. She is a certified Career Counselor and Achieve Global Trainer. In her role, she considers herself to be a Human Resource Generalist who has had the opportunity to recruit great workers, negotiate competitive benefits and contracts, provide coaching to managers in employee relations, career counsel and initiate as well as manage workforce training grants.
Her main objective at the EDC is to maintain and recruit dynamic individuals who can lead our state by creating prosperous employment opportunities for the Rhode Island's talented workforce.
