Mark Brodeur

As Director of Tourism at the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation, Mark is responsible for implementing and managing the activities of the Tourism Division, which includes managing the division's staff, communications, publications, trade events, marketing programs and tourism research. Mark also oversees operations at the Welcome Center and the Rhode Island Building at the Eastern States Exposition (Big E) in Springfield, Mass., the nation's fifth largest fair. In addition, as the Rhode Island Economic Development's Hospitality and Tourism sector lead, Mark is the first point of contact for industry development interests.  A 25-year veteran of the tourism and hospitality industry, Mark has worked as Director of Operations for Rhode Island Tourism and Manager of the Rhode Island Welcome Center, and held leadership roles at Paragon Tours and Travel and Suisse Chalet hotels. He also has worked as a consultant for such firms as Travel Access, AAA, Scholastic Tours, and Camera Tours. Mark is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Providence.
