March 5, 2010 - America's Cup Rhode Island 2013 Planning Committee Special Meeting Agenda
A special meeting of the America’s Cup Rhode Island 2013 Planning Committee established by the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation will be held at the Newport Police Dept. Assembly Room, located at 120 Broadway, Newport, Rhode Island 02840, on FRIDAY, MARCH 5, 2010, beginning at 2:30 p.m., for the following purposes:
1. For discussion of Rhode Island bid to host 2013 America’s Cup.
2. To consider and act upon such matters as may be considered at a meeting closed to the public pursuant to the Open Meeting Law, specifically matters permitted to be so considered under subsections (1) (personnel matters), (2) (sessions pertaining to collective bargaining or litigation, or work sessions pertaining to collective bargaining or litigation), (5) (acquisition or lease of real property for public purposes or disposition of publicly held property), (6) (location of prospective businesses in Rhode Island), or (7) (investment of public funds) of Rhode Island General Laws, Section 42-46-5(a) (the Open Meeting Law).
