Our economic growth plan targets industries that pay higher wages and enable workers to move from lower paying positions to higher-wage positions.
Action: In 2008, RIEDC will make 5,000 calls in 2008 on companies in target industry sectors.

- Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial Products ($53,391 average salary)
- Health and Life Sciences ($51,852 average salary)
- Consumer Products and Design ($47,165 average salary)
Action: Launch the Opportunity:Rhode Island Regional Attraction Campaign
RIEDC has launched an attraction campaign that targets regional leaders in the Financial Services, Information Technology and Digital Media, and Health and Life Sciences sectors and alerts them to expansion and relocation opportunities in Rhode Island. The campaign uses direct marketing, industry events, and peer outreach to generate new business development leads.
